Discover a safe space to feel heard and understood
as you begin your journey towards healing and growth.

Welcome to The Hope Space

Hello, I’m Lauren Marie Aron, founder and director of The Hope Space, where your journey to healing begins. As a passionate therapist specialising in disordered eating, I’ve tried to create a sanctuary for those in need of comfort and compassionate support. Although disordered eating can be a complex disorder to treat according to some clinicians, it’s the very reason why I chose this field.

I believe in genuine connections and a collaborative approach to therapy. By using a unique blend of evidence-based methods, I’m able to guide you on your personalised and effective healing journey.

The Hope Space is more than just therapy – it’s a commitment to your well-being. I’ll be by your side through laughter and tears, following an interactive and solution-focused approach to make your journey one of healing and transformation.

Life is messy, but your decision to be here is a powerful starting point. Let’s embrace self-empowerment, radical acceptance, and authentic human connection.

Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough. It's going to bed at night thinking, Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn't change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging.

Testimonials

I initially started working with Lauren as part of my eating disorder recovery and I cannot recommend her enough! I find it difficult to open up and trust people easily, but from day one Lauren provided a safe space that allowed us to build genuine trust.
Lauren played a vital role in helping me regain my sense of self, supporting me through the highs and lows, and rebuilding my life. Her firm yet kind approach helped me challenge my eating disorder thoughts and denial about my illness. She believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself and helped me see that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I’m now working with her on trauma processing, and I couldn’t imagine anyone better to guide me through it. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Lauren’s support — she has truly helped me build a life worth living again.

I started therapy with Lauren in early 2022, when life felt overwhelming and unmanageable. From the beginning, she offered a space that felt safe and steady — one where I could finally make sense of what I was feeling.

She has a rare ability to listen deeply, to reflect things back in a way that makes you feel truly seen and never judged. Even in my darkest moments, she held hope for me when I couldn’t hold it myself.
Lauren is not only an incredibly skilled therapist, but a deeply kind and grounded person. She helped me find words for what I didn’t understand and walked with me until I could believe I was enough. I’m endlessly grateful for her, and for the healing path she helped me find.

Lauren is a truly outstanding therapist. My trepidation, guilt and shame were met with warmth, understanding and a complete lack of judgment. She helped me discover where my true value and worthiness lie.
We use EMDR to work through deeply rooted struggles, and it has been transformative — not just because of the technique, but because of Lauren’s exceptional skill, compassion and intuition.
Her balance of challenge and humour, depth and lightness, creates a profoundly healing space. With Lauren by your side and the strength to hold onto hope, recovery feels not only possible, but real.

I owe my life and happiness to the help I received from Lauren. I felt truly hopeless when I began therapy, and now I’m living a life I never thought possible.
Therapy wasn’t easy — it was a rollercoaster — but Lauren always reminded me of the bigger picture and helped me take small steps every day. Her honesty and insight helped me realise that my eating disorder was never about food, but about feelings I needed to face.
Through her guidance, I found peace, love, and purpose again. It’s the best decision I ever made.
