Career / Vocational Assessment Service

SCHEDULE SESSION

The choice of a career is an important and at times stressful decision for our young adults. A thorough understanding of themselves as well as the world of work is essential to help them discover the path that is most suited to them.

Career Guidance has been offered to learners for more than 15 years through the South Coast Institute for Learning Development (SCILD). Lynn Aron, Educational Therapist & consultant (in association with Professor Faan Crous, Educational Psychologist Pretoria South Africa) assist learners by means of a psychometric assessment.

This 3-hour long assessment includes:

Evaluations of your interests (MB 10 Interest Questionnaire)

  • Evaluation of your personality. (Jung Personality Questionnaire (JPQ)
  • An evaluation of your aptitude or intelligence. (GSAT 4 Sub-tests, each with a time limit)

We look at your strengths – regarding your verbal vs non-verbal intelligence.
You may not look at the GSAT questions/ booklet prior to the assessment. You will have practice samples together with myself before each sub-test.

  • A career questionnaire. (Yes & No answers) (SAVII)

A discussion about your study habits and attitudes, including stress management.

We will have an online feedback discussion of the assessment results and you will receive a written report within two weeks after the assessment.
